To not forget the arrival of Jean Ribault in Florida in may 1562, we have founded one year ago an association : the Jean Ribault's descendants and memory.
Our aim was triple :
to organize a conference in France because the role of Jean Ribault in French History is partially unknown and, if possible, to contribuate to the coordination of the events that this anniversary could be generate ;
to create links with the USA and those who, in Florida, are perpetuating the memory of Jean Ribault ;
and, if possible, to organize a trip in Florida to follow in Jean Ribault's footsteps.
